Stasia Harycki

Stasia is a graduate student from Minnesota. She received a B.S. in chemistry from Drake University. Her research in the Gundlach-Graham group focuses on continued development of an online microdroplet calibration system for nanoparticle analysis by ICP-TOFMS. This system would allow for matrix-matched calibration for the quantification of nanoparticles by ICP-TOFMS without the use of expensive or difficult to obtain nanoparticle standards.

Sarah Szakas

Sarah received her BS in Forensic and Toxicological Chemistry from the West Chester University of Pennsylvania. She worked at a toxicology lab before joining the AGG group in 2019. She is working on MICAP (microwave inductively coupled atmospheric pressure plasma) as a step towards replacing Argon-ICP methods. In her free time, she is usually reading, at the gym, or exploring the great outdoors.

Tristen Taylor

Tristen Taylor is a graduate student from Townsend, Montana. She received her B.S. in Forensic Science with a concentration on Chemistry from The University of Providence in Great Falls, Montana. She is currently working on developing a novel sample introduction system for the ICP-MS using cVSSI as the nebulization device.  In her free time, Tristen enjoys going skiing and hiking amongst other things.

Hark Karkee

Hark is a graduate student from Far West Nepal. He received his bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, India and joint master’s degree in analytical chemistry from University of Tartu, Estonia and Uppsala University, Sweden. He is working on analysis and characterization of nanoparticles using spICP-TOFMS. He likes to play table tennis and watch movies in his free time.

Raven Buckman

Raven is a graduate student from Minnesota. She received a BS in Chemistry and a BS in Statistics and Actuarial Sciences from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. She is currently working on data analysis with machine learning and applied statistics. When not focused on chemistry, Raven enjoys true crime, cooking and hiking.

Shahnaz Mukta

Shahnaz received her MS in Chemistry for Illinois State University. She worked at a chemical industry before joining the AGG group. Her work in the group focuses on alternative plasma sources for atomic mass spectrometry. During her leisure time she enjoys embroidery art and playing sudoku.

Rui Hui

Rui is a graduate student from Wuhu, China. He received his B.Sc. in applied chemistry from Anhui Agricultural University, Hefei, and M.Sc. in analytical chemistry from Central Iron & Steel Research Institute, Beijing. He worked in an instrument & testing company before joining the Gundlach-Graham lab in 2021. He is currently working on the development of novel sample introduction approaches for spICP-TOFMS. In his spare time, Rui likes watching documentaries, especially nature documentaries.

Woolin Lee

Woolin is a graduate student from South Korea. She received her B.S. in Chemistry & Nano science and M.S. in Organic Chemistry from Ewha Womans University. She worked in the chemical industry before joining the Gundlach-Graham lab. Her current research focuses on single particle analysis using alternative plasma sources for elemental mass spectrometry. She enjoys engaging in travel, yoga, and taking leisurely walks during her free time.
